Gratuitous Space Battles - стратегия для тех, кто всегда мечтал командовать собственной эскадрильей космических кораблей в нескончаемых битвах. От игрока требуется задать начальные параметры всех кораблей и их конфигурации, руководствуясь имеющимися данными о вражеском флоте. Имеется возможность создания собтвенных схем вооружения кораблей. Также на игрока ложится расстановка сил и выдача начальных приказов. В игре 4 расы с различными технологиями и индивидуальными преимуществами в бою, широкие возможности по модернизации своего флота, возможность контроля над временем и отличные графические эффекты.

• 1.31: Fixed a graphical bug where some turrets seemed to fire but no bullets would appear.

• 1.31: Fixed hang on start-up involving multi threading message checks on certain PCs. (pending feedback).
• 1.31: Fixed crash bug when you hit the delete key on deployment screen whilst also dragging a ship.
• 1.31: Fixed range indicator UI on deployment screen so they are the right size now.
• 1.31: Added new tribe-specific debris, so they don't re-use another races.
• 1.31: Changed the tribe and alliance engine glow particle effect to be less blocky.
• 1.31: Changed engine glow effect so it oscillates smoothly in size rather than flickering suddenly.
• 1.31: Fixed minor rendering bug on the deployment screen (window 3d highlight was wrong).
